Studio Policies, Disclaimers, and Privacy Policy
Welcome to Microblading by Ara. We are committed to providing you with the highest quality permanent makeup and facial care services. Please read the following policies, health disclaimers, and privacy information carefully before booking your appointment.
1. Booking, Cancellation & Rescheduling Policies
To provide the best service to all of our clients, we kindly ask that you respect our scheduling policies.
Cancellations & Rescheduling: We require at least 48 hours' notice if you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment. We understand that emergencies happen, but late cancellations greatly affect our scheduling. Frequent last-minute cancellations may result in restrictions on booking future appointments.
Late Arrivals: Please arrive on time. If you are more than 15 minutes late, we may not have enough time to complete your procedure safely and effectively. In this case, your appointment will be canceled and will need to be rescheduled.
No-Shows: Clients who fail to show up for their appointment without notifying us will be considered a "No-Show" and may be restricted from booking future appointments with our studio.
Refunds: Due to the nature of permanent makeup and facial services, all services provided are non-refundable.
2. Health & Medical Disclaimers
Permanent makeup (including microblading and lip shading) is a cosmetic tattoo process. Your health and safety are our top priorities. We reserve the right to refuse service to anyone if we feel the procedure is not safe for them.
General Restrictions:
We cannot perform permanent makeup services on individuals who are:
Under 18 years of age.
Pregnant or nursing.
Currently undergoing Chemotherapy or Radiation.
Experiencing active skin conditions (eczema, psoriasis, acne, or sunburn) in the treatment area.
Pre-Care Requirements:
Alcohol & Caffeine: Do not consume alcohol, coffee, or caffeinated beverages for 3 days (72 hours) prior to your appointment, as these can increase bleeding and affect color retention.
Blood Thinners: Discontinue the use of blood-thinning medications (including Aspirin and Ibuprofen) 24 hours before your procedure. Please consult your doctor before stopping any prescribed medications.
Diabetes: Diabetic clients must have their blood sugar strictly controlled to undergo tattooing, as poor management can delay healing and risk infection.
Lip Shading & Cold Sores: If you are prone to cold sores (even occasionally), the lip shading procedure will likely trigger an outbreak. You must take an antiviral medication (such as Acyclovir) starting 3 days before your appointment and continue for 3 days after. Consult your doctor or pharmacist for a prescription.
Liability Waiver: By booking an appointment, you acknowledge that permanent makeup involves breaking the skin and carries inherent risks, including infection, scarring, or allergic reactions. You agree that you have disclosed all medical conditions and agree to follow all pre-care and post-care instructions provided by Microblading by Ara. Results vary by individual, and multiple sessions are often required to achieve the desired outcome.
3. Privacy Policy
At Microblading by Ara, we respect your privacy and are committed to protecting your personal data.
Information We Collect: When you book an appointment, we collect your name, email address, phone number, and any necessary scheduling information. Prior to your service, we will also collect sensitive medical history information via our intake forms to ensure you are a safe candidate for our procedures.
How We Use Your Information: Your contact information is used strictly to manage your bookings, send appointment reminders, and communicate with you regarding your service. Your medical information is kept strictly confidential and used only to ensure your health and safety during the procedure.
Data Protection: We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information to third parties. All online bookings are processed through secure, encrypted platforms.
Photo & Video Consent: We often take "before and after" photos of the treatment area for our records and portfolio. We will never post photos showing your full face on our website or social media without your explicit verbal or written consent.
